England finally reaches semi-finals for the first time since 1992 world cup. After a must a win over New Zealand at Chester-le-Street on Wednesday, they have finishes 3rd in the table with 12 points from 9 matches.
Previously team England were in grave danger after losing consecutive matches against Sri Lanka and Australia. But later they came up hard by winning against India on Sunday and defeated New Zealand on Wednesday.
It also buried the hopes of Pakistan semi-finals after beating New Zealand in last match. Pakistan tried very hard and almost reached the semis after beating South Africa, New Zealand and Afghanistan. In the end they had to keep their hopes on New Zealand
Now that both India and New Zealand lost to England, the chances of Pakistan to reach semi-finals are almost null. However there is an impossible task to be done by Pakistan in order to reach semi-finals.
